Isa - 40:31

"Learn to wait upon the Lord - for He shall give you strength. Never trust that this old world will give you strength, only the Lord can do this."

Put you hope in the Lord. And Trust. He will give you what you need when you need it. Amen.

This was my Bible study notes, for those days that I experience tension. I used to be at home for many years, then suddenly my more or less quiet world changed. I've been working in the retail world since 2021, that has been quite a change for me. Some days, work goes well and my nerves aren't too bad, then there are days that really seem to stress me out. Reflecting upon these scriptures have helped me to not focus so much on me or my own strength, but rather the strength of the Lord. If I were to place my trust in what the world has to offer, I would be depressed. With all the different "stresses" in the world, why would I want to place my hope in what is going on nowadays. There isn't much "hope" in the news. The world is basically falling apart. I would rather place my hope and trust in the Lord, He alone can give me hope. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Nahum 1:7 - The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows them who trust in Him.

Whatever is on your heart and mind give those things over to Him. His yoke is easy and burden is light.

Mary

Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12186164254795510056noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2399302594835408906.post-14333312579739451512020-10-09T03:43:00.000-04:002020-10-09T03:43:05.665-04:00Devotional in I John 5:21
Today's devotional has to do with Idol Worship. I did a study of this topic in my journal back in July of this year. It's probably not a popular subject to speak about, and maybe not one you hear much of in churches today.. although, there maybe some that do preach on this. This is just a short devotional; I am not called of God to be a preacher, I have been called to write about the things of the Lord. I hope that you will be truly blessed.

Our verse today: Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. This is a short verse, but powerful. This verse doesn't mean the heathen worship of idol gods, but substitutes for the Christian concepts of God, or anything that would pull us away from God and the Cross of Christ.

When our focus is not truly centered on the face of God and the Cross of Christ, we can become "lost" in our own thought and the heart will fix upon the idol of desire. What have I desired ? My focus should be on the Lord and the Cross. Another words do not be partakers of the sins of this world.

******

I have also written down some thoughts, that not necessarily have to do with today's devotional, but more of an impression of what's been happening in the world. Men's hearts are far from me. (The word me is speaking of the Lord.) Hatred has consumed their desires. In the last days men's hearts will fail from fear. Many have gone astray. Many will lose their lives over the desires to see America fall. It is my desire to see all men come to Christ, but many will not. Covid - 19 has become a tool of man, to see America become like that of China. A state of communism. But I have overcome the world. The Lord God will intervene in this land. Many hearts are broken, and in fear to see this country to become a place of terror, where thieves break in. Many will come to the Lord during this time. Many have come back to the Lord. The Gospel needs to go into all the world. Few are the laborers, the field is white unto Harvest.

There seems to a lot of fear concerning what has been going on in the news in these times. But, we should not be in fear. Let me share some scriptures having to do with having Faith. Allowing our hearts to focus on what the word says about overcoming fear with Positive Faith. I will just write down where you can find the scriptures, 11 Timothy 1:7 - "God has not given us a spirit of fear" ; Proverbs 29:25 - "The fear of man bringeth a snare" ; Psalms 27:1 - "The Lord is my light and my salvation" ; Psalms 91:4-5 - "He shall cover thee with his feathers" .. Of course there is more to these scriptures, I have only given the shortened version, its up to you to have a look in the word of God.

Have a blessed day,

Mary

Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12186164254795510056noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2399302594835408906.post-16386707549294320732020-03-16T02:08:00.001-04:002020-03-16T02:08:54.263-04:00A Time For ....

Psalms 96:11 - Let the heavens rejoice, and let the Earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness there of. (Jesus Christ will reign over the entirety of planet earth in the Kingdom Age, then the heavens will rejoice and the earth be glad).

<span style="color: #674ea7; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My thoughts: In the fake news I hear liberals say, that in 10 years the earth will be destroyed. But when we look at Psalms 96:11, we can see that Jesus Christ will reign over the entirety of the earth. That doesn't sound to me like the world will be destroyed.

<span style="color: #674ea7; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">No one can predict the time of the Lord's coming - including the liberals, all they want is to put fear into the hearts of people. They want to Kill America - Rob people of their resources, and Destroy the babies in the wombs of their mothers. Satan thinks he has everyone fooled - but there are praying saints on bended knee asking the Heavenly Father to heal our land. When we humble ourselves before the Lord - then the Father will hear from Heaven - and heal our land. We cannot take what the liberals dish out as true - they know nothing - but to deceive. Their hearts are darkened by Sin.

<span style="color: #674ea7; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Earth will not be destroyed. The Lord is in control.

<span style="color: #3d85c6; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hello, first off let me say, I do apologize for not keeping up this blog.. it sat for over a year. This was not planned. The year of 2019.. was for the most part a sad year. My dear mother passed away, she spent her 94th birthday in heaven. We miss her, she will always be in my heart... forever. Right after her passing, in the following month, my aunt passed away. And in the months ahead, we said our goodbyes to 3 more loved ones. And in September we had to put our 2 fur kids down, due to illnesses. One was our beautiful dog, Dollie. And our 18 yr old cat, Mudpie. This has not been easy for me... but through it all, the Lord has been walking by my side holding my hand and my heart. Without Him I can do nothing. He is my blessed assurance. I can trust Him with my tomorrows.

<h3 style="clear: both; color: #306363; font-family: "Cherry Swash", sans-serif; font-size: 24px; font-weight: 400; line-height: 1.1; margin-bottom: 0.875em; margin-top: 0px;">
First of all let me wish you all a very happy and hope filled New Year.

<h3 style="clear: both; color: #306363; font-family: "Cherry Swash", sans-serif; font-size: 24px; font-weight: 400; line-height: 1.1; margin-bottom: 0.875em; margin-top: 0.875em;">
Let us focus for a minute on the word “hope”. Maybe we should ask ourselves where do we base our hope? As we ponder on that question. Let us turn our focus on what the Word of God says …

Philippians 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” KJV

“Be careful for nothing” = don’t worry about anything, worry only leads to unrest, headache and fear. Worry gives your mind something to do, but it leads you to nothing, but heartache.

“Thanksgiving” = remembering all that God has done for us in the past, what He is doing in the present, and shall do in the future.

We should allow the Lord God, to work things out on our behalf. Letting go of things we cannot control. Giving over to the Lord all things that bother, worry, frustrate us on a daily basis. Sometimes I get my mind on things of this world, all that is happening in the news… it can be so frustrating. I have allowed my thoughts to get so bunched up.. that it does me no good. Reading God’s Word should not be your New Year’s Resolution, it should be your focus every day. My hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ, and what He accomplished on the Cross.

Cling to God’s unchanging hand. For every day the world around us changes. For our Hope and Trust should be in the Lord God the maker of Heaven and Earth. This is my reminder. And I pray that it will be your reminder too. A reminder that if we as born-again Christians will not give in to the evils of this world, and if we stand firm on God’s Word, then He [Jesus] will give us what we need when we need it. So, if you are needing your bills to be paid – stand on God’s Word, he said he will provide. Is your car broken down? – Trust in the Lord, to see you through! Don’t just read this devotion, but pick up the Bible. Start reading in Philippians 4: 19 – But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus. This is all made possible by the Cross.

As you read through this devotion, think on the Scriptures that have been given, but most importantly pick up the Word [the Bible] and look up these Scriptures. May the peace of God rule in your heart.

It's about the hidden dangers of Halloween. October 31st has passed by - but this is an important topic that needs to be shared.* Article is used with permission.

Halloween:
The Truth Behind the Mask

Jason Decker

What is Halloween? Is it really a time for Trick or Treats, Ghost stories, Pumpkins, Jack-O- Lanterns, Black cats, Costumes, Parties? Right? That is what I used to think. You probably thought that Halloween was a time for children dressed in cute costumes of witches, ghosts, and devils coming to knock at your door yelling “TRICK OR TREAT!” That’s not all there is to it. There is much more to Halloween, much more!
Halloween is more than a traditional holiday, and it is still celebrated by the many satanic and witchcraft groups today. How do the Halloween traditions and customs we see practiced today in our society relate to ancient and modern witchcraft?
The origins of Halloween can be traced back thousands of years to the time of the ancient Celts and their priests, the Druids. The night of October 31st marked the transition from summer into the darkness of winter. It marked the beginning of the Celtic New Year. The Feast of Samhain was a dreaded night, a night in which great bonfires were lit to Samana the lord of death, the dark Aryan god who was known as the Grim Reaper.
On this night it is said that spirits of the dead rose up and walked the earth. Wiccans say that this day is the best time for necromancy (communication with the dead). Halloween is still celebrated in Wicca as one of their Eight Seasonal Festivals, a ritual during which they call upon the dead to “Return this night to make merry with us”
One of my sources, who was a warlock in the Church of Satan, a priest in the satanic brotherhood and the high priest of a Wicca coven for almost 15 years, says that he and his fellow Wiccans would supposedly call up dead spirits such as Jesus, George Washington, King Arthur, Merlin, Aleister Crowley (a Satanist who called himself “The Great Beast”) who would appear and talk in normal like conversations on Halloween during their ceremonies.
He said that they used to cast spells on the countryside giving the spirits access to possess whoever they pleased. They especially cast spells on the children going about “Trick or Treating”.
But they believed that they were helping the people because they believed the spirits shared their wisdom and helped the victim to grow more aware of their spirituality. They did not realize the harm they really bring because they were blinded by their own spirits.
It was necessary that this be done on the night of October 31st, because it represented All Hallows Eve, the night before November first, “summer’s end when the powers of the underworld are felt to be growing, with its gates opened and all its forces let loose-the evil as well as the good.”
November first, All Saints Day was a religious holiday of the Roman Catholic Church established during the seventh century. It was the day the Catholics set aside in memory of the early Martyrs. November second was the day to pray for the souls in purgatory. Another name for All Saints Day was All Hallows. Oct. 31 was known as All Hallows Eve-later shortened to Halloweëen.
Today all of this is invisible, just the way Wiccans prefer it. Quiet, so they can be left alone. But you don’t have to look far for their influence on the spirit of Halloween. Today the spirit of Halloween is seen in the horror movies usually released in association with Halloween’s horror. Look at Halloween I, II and III; Friday the 13th series, Nightmare on Elm Street, or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Even on TV., there’s The Howling, and any number of slasher, bloody-murder and terror flicks you see. These are typical of what our society today accepts as all in the spirit of Halloween. It reveals the dark spirit behind the masks of the Halloween of today.
Black cats, Ghosts, Spirits, Trick or Treating, Jack-O-Lanterns, costumes, and masks all have associations to Halloween. Yet, each has been commonly used by Wiccans and all the back to the ancient Druids.
Symbolism is applied to most of the Halloween activities we participate in today. Just as people offered gifts of food to the spirits, people today offer treats to the kids who represent them by dressing up. In reality, the lighted Jack-O-Lanterns the children carry are symbols of the torches of former Halloweens and of the ancient Samhain fires.
Chosen villagers disguised themselves and cavorted from house to house collecting the ancient Celtic equivalent of protection money, and then drove the spirits out of that town or village. They carried Jack-O-Lanterns to light their way, often just a turnip or potato with a fearful, demonic face carved into it, which they hoped would impress or intimidate the spirits around it.
Other stories say that the Druids went around and collected money and then they would cast a protection spell and leave a jack-O-Lantern to tell the demons they had been there.
About Black Cats-remember the old saying “Its bad luck for a Black Cat to cross your path”? Well it can be almost so. During the thousands of years the cat has lived with humans, it has been worshipped as deity or cursed as a demon by many societies.
In ancient Egypt the cat was respected as a god. To the Druids they were dreaded as human beings changed into animals by evil powers. That is the reason they wove them into wicker baskets and put them in the Samhain fires. Cats often serve witches as familiars (spirit helpers). Their ‘magic’ eyes led people to believe that cats were seers, with strong mediumistic powers.
People hide behind all sorts of ‘masks.’ Some hide behind hats and others hide behind dark sunglasses. In many primitive societies a mask was more than a means of changing one’s appearance; it was a link with the world of the spirits, a channel by which men could tap the forces of the supernatural.
The wearing of a mask was believed to change a man’s identity and faculties, for the assumed appearance was believed to affect the wearers inner nature and to assimilate it to that of the being represented by the mask.
One of my sources told me someone in the coven would dress up as a demon/god or as Samana the prince of darkness (otherwise known as Set or Satan) and become possessed by the demonic personality.
This whole idea of kids dressing up like ghosts and vampires is actually a mask worn by Satan to make reality seem like the ridiculous. Once we look at this dark side of Halloween as a fun thing, we accept the evil as a common cultural tradition and find ourselves blinded by spiritual ignorance to the truth. So, Trick or Treat with the knowledge that you are opening the doors of yours and your children’s’ souls to true spiritual darkness.
We felt proud to vote! With hopes held high, for the LORD to work on our behalf. We prayed and spoke in tongues. We hold to the truths of God's WORD, for our strength and continued guidance. We have to - due to the "ungodly" world that we live in.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">

<span style="font-family: "arial";">If the blinders were to fall away from man's ugly heart - he would truly "see" for the first time the mess that this United States have fallen.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">Once, the beginning of these United States started in true form. Marching to the tune of morality and Truth and Love. The early presidents held honor to preserve this nation from chaos. These truths were held together by the Word of God.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">I believe that if these United States had not started out with God's Holy Grace - it would have quickly fallen. The enemy would have divided, and pulled apart. But man held to the Simple Truths of God's Word. And thus, they fought to keep the Nation Free.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">

<span style="font-family: "arial";">Now chaos seems to rule the land - Few pulpits witness the goodness of God, and instead embrace "man's goodness". Man has seen that he might do a better job in creating his own peace while standing on a slippery slope. Unknown to him the dangers that lie in wait.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">Those with eyes of God, see the danger coming and hides himself in the Palm of the Almighty God - knowing that the Heavenly Father hears every breath of prayer - from His Saints.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">These men and women do battle in the Heavenly realm. The Saints of God equip themselves with an urgency - and the Bible. Constantly seeking the Face of the LORD GOD.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">Saints must learn to discern the Voice of the Father. We are all called to prayer. Warriors on the front lines to do battle. For this world is going down fast. But if we will wake from the slumber... we can do battle through prayer.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">

<span style="font-family: "arial";">In Ephesians 6:18 it says: "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all Saints (Saints praying for other saints)".

<span style="font-family: "arial";">Thank you LORD JESUS - for you are our Heavenly Father who watches constantly over all the Saints, - throughout all the ages.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">For YOU never grow tired of hearing the Saints prayers and cries from the depth of hearts that are tired and those in dire pain. For every one that carries a burden can come to the Father - He lifts those burdens from our shoulders.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">For YOU gave your Son as One Sacrifice - there's nothing that can be added or taken away from what happened on the Cross that day.

<span style="font-family: "arial";">For ALL you've given - For all One Sacrifice!

The devil does not wear a red suit with a pitchfork in his hand. The cartoons depict the devil as a funny little character that rides around on your shoulder, whispering some devilish thing in your ear. The devil is real. As in this scripture, he is a Thief. A thief comes in to steal. He will steal away your faith if he can. If you allow him. Think about this; there are many false teachers out in the world, they will “catch” the ears of their listeners with just enough of the truth, then without you knowing it, they twist the truth. They may even speak of another way to Salvation. They may even say, “If you send in your money, you will get a healing”; or “If you will only put your faith in faith, you will be made whole again”; Or “There is no hell. It’s just a state of mind.”

With all of the tricks of Satan, before you know it he will have you running around in circles. The devil’s plan is simple, if he can keep your mind on “works”…. Instead of your faith in the Cross of Christ, then he (Satan) has succeeded. In Ephesians 2:8-9, For by Grace are you Saved through Faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the Gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

When you place your faith in the Cross of Christ, there is Life. The Lord will give you life more abundantly.

There is a false teaching that says, that Jesus was “killed”. The LORD was not killed or assassinated. John 10:18 says, No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.

I have the power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This Commandment have I received of My Father.

Jesus gave up His Life. He gave it as a Sacrifice. He died for your sin. For my sin. So that all who believes in Him shall have eternal life.

I will build My Church (the Church belongs to Christ, and He is the Head); and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (the power of death caused by sin, shall not prevail against it, which victory was won at the Cross).

Verse 19- says: And I will give unto you ("you" refers to the believers) the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; * "keys" are actually symbols of authority, the privilege of preaching or proclaiming the Gospel, which every believer in Christ Jesus has the privilege of doing.*; and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven (Christ has given the power and authority to every Believer to bind Satan and his minions of darkness, and to do so by using the Name of Jesus): and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven (looses the Power of God according to the usage of the Name of Jesus; which is the authority of every Believer in Christ Jesus).

Verse 20- Then charged He * Commanded * His Disciples that they should tell no man that He was Jesus the Christ.

Okay lets also draw our attention to these verses 21 through 25. This is all found in Chapter 16, of Matthew.
verse 21: says- From that time forth began Jesus to show unto His Disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the Elders and Chief Priests and Scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Verse 22: says- Then Peter took Him, and began to rebuke Him (Peter chides Jesus for speaking of suffering and death; just as many Preachers do this day, as they reject the Cross), saying, Be it far from You, Lord: this shall not be unto You.
Verse 23: says- But He turned , and said unto Peter (respects strong action; would be the sternest of rebukes), Get thee behind Me, Satan (Jesus used nearly the same words in rebuking Peter, and the other Disciples that He has used to the Devil, and His temptation; all denial of the Cross in any form, is of Satan): you are an offence unto Me (speaks directly to Peter, because he is now being used by Satan): for you savor not the things that be of God, but those that be of men (if its not the Cross, then it's of men, which means its of Satan).
Verse 24: says- Then said Jesus unto His Disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross (the benefits of the Cross, what Jesus did there), and follow Me (if Christ is not followed by the means of the Cross, He cannot be followed at all).
Verse 25: says- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it (for anyone who tries to live his life outside of Christ and the Cross; it can only be lived in Christ through the Cross): and whosoever will lose his life for My sake shall find it (lose his life to Christ, which means to give his life to Christ, which can only be done through the Cross; he then finds "newness of life").

Jesus is the Foundation of the Church. Jesus is the Rock, and the Head of the Church. If you try to build on anything less than Jesus Christ, then it will be built on sand. When a church is built on the principles of what Jesus Christ did on the Cross of Calvary... then it will withstand any force of sin and darkness. Too often, preachers are asleep in the pulpit. And are not concerned with preaching the Gospel. They turn to "feel good" messages that have nothing to do with speaking against sin or providing a way for the people to accept Salvation. Sadly, many churches turn to forms of entertainment. If the Message of the Gospel through the Cross of Christ is not preached, then its a message based on the world, and man. Man thinks there are many different ways to reach heaven. Man tries to gain access through- contemplative prayer, prayer beads, emptying of the mind, Christian yoga, and many other means of mysticism. But, there is only ONE WAY to Heaven... and that is through Jesus Christ and what He did on the Cross of Calvary! Jesus gave up His Life, in order to give you life. If you've tried all the gimmicks of what man has to offer...and still find that your life is empty.... then consider giving Jesus a chance. He is right there waiting for you to come to Him. His yoke is easy and his burden is light.
Remember, its not saying the words that will save you. But its believing what Jesus did on the Cross for your sins, that is what matters.

If you are ready, then read the words of this prayer, (out loud).

"Dear Lord Jesus, I come to you today, as a lost sinner. I am asking you to save my soul and cleanse me from all sin. I realize I am in need of salvation, which can only come through Jesus Christ. I am accepting Christ into my heart and what He did on the Cross in order to purchase my redemption.
I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead. You have said in Your Word which cannot lie, 'For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved' (Romans 10:13). I have called upon the Name of the Lord, just as You have said, and I believe that right now, I am Saved."

If you have sincerely prayed these words, and believed in your heart upon the Lord Jesus Christ, you are at this moment saved, and your name is written down in the Lamb's Book of Life. Congratulations!

Allow the Lord to teach you through His Word. Reading the Bible will provide the food.

In His Service, Mary
Will
there be a shaking within the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ? We
will survive the coming turmoil and shaking..We will run and not be
weary, walk and not faint! We can rest in His Grace because of what
He accomplished at the Cross of Calvary. Sure, we may still mess up;
but if we don't give up, God won't give up. Judgment begins at the
house of God (1 Peter 4:17) and He will need to allow some
things to bring us to dependence on Jesus. Sin was in totality dealt
with at Calvary, but He will correct us as with sons (and daughters).
1Pet 4:19 says “Wherefore let them who suffer according to the Will
of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as
unto a Faithful Creator.”

We
see things going on in the news that cause us consternation; I for
one get angry to see stuff happening that should be stopped, and most
times is stopped, thankfully, only to see it reappear in some other
situation or form. I think to myself, “when will we fail to prevent
it next time, and with such tenacity, will this thing eventually come
to pass anyway?” This is the way of the world, but it it's mainly
happening because the Church is for the most part powerless, without
the Spirit, or at least not allowing the Holy Spirit latitude to work
as He can. Our way of life here in America is only the result of Holy
Spirit influence over the history of our nation, and other nations
who have come before us that have embraced liberty, in whatever forms
there were at the time. It has not been perfect by any means, and it
has been a struggle; the Church of Jesus Christ, and by that I mean
all who have been saved through the Shed Blood of Jesus at the Cross,
must all return to that Cross in repentance and faith. This is where
the change occurs. (Is 40:31, Heb 12:5-13,1Pet 4:18)
